Halsted House opened online in mid-2018 shortly after our owner, Micah Schweitzer, discovered a complete set of red transferware china while vintage shopping for her own home. This was a rare find. Living in a studio apartment, Micah had no space for an extra set of dinnerware, but passing it up was out of the question. The next day Halsted House was born.

Our collections are curated from pre-loved pieces; meaning, our items have stood the test of time and have all been used and loved in a previous home. Some items will show their age more than others with crazing in the glaze, slight staining, scratches and wear that comes with years of use. We reflect these characteristics, to the best of our ability, in all photos and item descriptions. We feel these imperfections tell a story of the history of each piece and make it unique in its own right. We're positive you will, too.
